Found this old image of the Holtsville School from 1929. Long before there was the Sachem Central School District, individual school houses were located around the community. The Holtsville School was one of them.
The photo above is from the inside flap of the Sachem Class of 2004 yearbook. This was the last class prior to the district split when Sachem East was created in 2004-2005.
This photo from 1926 is the Union Avenue building in Holbrook. A school house for many years, it was Sachem’s Administrative Offices for decades until recently.
