The Greifeld boys have CEO tendencies running through their blood. Robert and Phil Greifeld both graduated from Sachem and have spent decades running businesses and holding C-suite level positions.
Phil was recently named CEO of the Year by the Nashville Post for his work as the lead executive at Nashville based Captain D’s, a seafood chain in the south that has been around since 1969.
Greifeld, the brother of NASDAQ-OMX CEO Robert Greifeld, arrived at Captain D’s in Sept. 2010 after a decade with Huddle House, a Georgia-based food chain with 200 restaurants also in the south. Upon his arrival at Captain D’s he immediately shook things up at the request of the company’s ownership group.
“At Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant, everything we do is centered on our commitment to our guests,” says Greifeld in his company message on Captain D’s website. “We’ve built a culture of service excellence that begins in my office and extends through every level of our company. From our chefs who craft our unique recipes to the crew members that greet you with a smile when you enter one of our restaurants, each one of our team members is dedicated to ensuring that you have an excellent, memorable experience when you dine at Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant.”
