The Sequoya Middle School Renaissance Community Service Club had their annual visit to the Northport Veteran’s home last month.
Students sang songs, played games and spent time talking to the residents.
They also donated a bird feeder with funds raised from building fund drives, according to Sequoya Principal Frank Panasci.
“The children were very well behaved,” Susan Pisano, the Acting Chief of Recreation Therapy Service at the Veteran’s home, write in a letter to the school. “Their attentiveness and eagerness to spend time with the veterans made each Veteran feel special.”
