Sal “the stockbroker” Governale is expanding his resume. It’s not just prank calls, ball busting and comedy for the Sachem alum anymore. He’s also behind the new “Spa Now” app for the iPhone and iPad, available in the App Store today.
Governale, who graduated from Sachem in 1987 and is a personality on The Howard Stern Show on Sirius/XM Radio, has increased his marketability in the last year. He’s taken to the big screen, acting in a low budget film titled “Girls Gone Dead” alongside Stern show favorite Beetlejuice, and hit the comedy scene across the country over the last year when time permits.
According to its description in the App Store, the app has a database of more than 7,500 spas – massage parlors if you will – in the United States and can pinpoint the nearest spas to your location.
“In addition to the name, address, phone number, and hours for each spa, you can also see other users’ reviews and ratings for each,” the description reads. “Leave your own rating and review to let others know about your experience.”
Spa Now has the ability to notify you when you are approaching a spa, no matter what other functions are currently being used on your smart phone. It’s available for 99 cents.
Governale has added the app creation to his Twitter profile, calling it a “massage parlor finder.”
“It comes in handy,” he said.
