Four seniors – two from Sachem East and two from Sachem North – were recently honored at the 24th Annual Butch Dellecave Awards held at Villa Lombardi’s in Holbrook.
Sachem East seniors Carmine Jaconi and Sara O’Sullivan and Sachem North seniors Nate Gsell and Jolie Ferreiro were selected based on their athletic achievement, classroom performance, and commitment to local community service.
Named in memory of the legendary educator, official, and coach Gaetano “Butch” Dellecave, the award is the product of a highly successful 24-year partnership between local school districts in Suffolk County and the award organizers: the Economic Opportunity Council of Suffolk, Inc., the Butch Dellecave Foundation, and Newsday.
