From the outset, there aren’t any question marks about this game. It should be cut and dry since Steve Casali is back and Sachem East is in need of a win before the playoffs begin next week.
Let’s chalk Week 8 against Brentwood up to a tune up session for Sachem East to work on some small in-game adjustments that could help when it faces a more tough opponent in the first round of the post-season.
Brentwood is 1-6, while Sachem East sports a 3-4 record and will likely finish the regular season with a .500 mark. With a victory, Sachem East head coach Mark Wojciechowski will tie Al Bertalone for the most wins in program history at 10.
Casali did not play last week due to precautionary reasons from a concussion suffered during Week 6 against Connetquot.
Playoff brackets will be released later this weekend.
