If you watched “Quick 60” on MSG Varsity last Tuesday, you would have heard a familiar Sachem name mentioned: Michael Slattery.
The junior wide receiver from Sachem North was pegged as the show’s “Fan of the Week,” by host Mike Quick and producer Andrew Rappaport.
“He’s a fan of ours,” Rappaport said during the broadcast. “He’s a huge fan of the show. He is our Fan of the Week. He always asks for a shout out and now he’s getting it.”
For Slattery, it was nothing short of excitement to be featured on the show.
“It’s awesome to see myself on television,” he said during Sachem’s victory over Connetquot on Friday evening. “It’s cool to be one of their biggest fans.”
