Arrows beat Central Islip 34-7 during Week 8 action
The regular season is done and Sachem East will turn its attention to the playoffs where they will be one of the top seeds in the Suffolk County Division I bracket.
Brackets will be finalized following Saturday’s slate of remaining games.
Sachem East finished 6-2 and only narrowly lost the two contests, making them one of the toughest opponents heading into the next month of intriguing playoff matchups.
“I can’t believe the regular season is done and absolutely love this group of players and coaches that I’m lucky to work with,” said Sachem East coach Phil Torregrossa. “But we ain’t done yet and we get to make a playoff run!”
The Arrows have been led by a core of seniors who are putting up program-best seasons on both sides of the ball (more on that once the season is over so we can analyze where these top performers finish on the all-time program milestone list).
During Friday’s win against Central Islip Sachem East was led by Antonio Camacho and Adriel Robinson on the ground. Camacho had 2 carries for 120 yards and 2 touchdowns, while Robinson had 3 carries, 84 yards and 1 touchdown.
All playoff information for Sachem East football will be highlighted after each game.
