Sachem North’s Amanda Duspiva has been named as a finalist for this year’s Metropolitan Youth Orchestra of New York concerto and vocal competition.
Duspiva is one of just a handful of talented young artists who will perform their competition piece on Wednesday, January 27 in the Congregational Church of Huntington at 7 p.m. The concert is free and open to the public.
The competition winners will be chosen by an esteemed jury which includes Hofstra University Professor Dr. David Frying, LIU Post Professor Maureen Hynes, and award-winning teacher and professional musician Peggy Rakas, and the winners will be announced at the end of the performance.
