Sachem North Wrestling Captures Suffolk County Division I Dual Meet Championship

Sachem North is back on top of the wrestling world after capturing its first Suffolk County Division I dual meet championship.

The Flaming Arrows beat Connetquot, 28-18, at Bay Shore High School, a neutral host site.

Sachem, 17-1 during the regular season, had its only loss against Connetquot on December 11. Things were different this time after winning 9 of 12 bouts.

Thomas Keegan, wrestling at 124 pounds, won a critical and close 4-3 match against Julian Medina. This sparked Sachem to seven straight wins on the day.

Sachem will wrestle in the New York State dual meet championships next weekend in Syracuse.
