Sachem Alum, Teacher Hurt in accident, Needs Help

Sachem alum and teacher John Aebly was injured in a road rage accident and needs your help. His friends have started a GoFundMe page to help support the family as Aebly recovers from spinal surgery.

According to the GoFundMe, he is in the ICU, has a crushed spinal cord, and still has no feelings or movement in his legs.

The page also said he had emergency surgery on Sunday: “Recovery is going to be a long, painful process. There are many things that they will need to do, including making their house wheelchair accessible. We are creating this GoFundMe account to help John and Jenn with his long-term care. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. Any contribution that will help the family financially during this devastating time would be greatly appreciated.”
