This event is perfect for all ages, so grab your friends, family, and skates, and skate to remember an incredible person, Sachem alum Jeff Bausch. Don’t miss out on this unforgettable night where all proceeds will benefit the Jeff Bausch Unsung Hero Award, the Jeff Bausch Aspiring Content Creator Award, and the Bausch Family.
The inaugural JB96 Frozen 5K will occur on Friday, November 17, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Clark Gillies Arena in Dix Hills.
Bausch died in November 2022 from sudden cardiac arrest. He was 39 and left behind his wife Christine and two young children, and now leaves a legacy in the Sachem hockey program. His No. 96 was retired by Sachem hockey in May 2023.
All the proceeds will go to the Jeff Bausch Unsung Hero Award, awarded to a graduating senior on the Sachem Ice Hockey team, and the Jeff Bausch Aspiring Content Creator Scholarship, which goes to a graduating senior from Sachem High School North. They aim to award multiple awards and scholarships based on the proceeds from this annual event every year.
Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for kids 12 and under. If people can not join us for skate or can not skate, they can donate any amount they want. I’ve included the link below and attached the logo for the event.
