Sachem alum, teacher and coach Pete McNeill is one of the best distance runners to come from the community. He has spent decades helping cultivate a winning culture in the Sachem girls cross-country and track and field programs. He is also the son of Robert McNeill, one of the original teachers at Gatelot Elementary and one of the first track and field coaches hired by Sachem.
He is the latest guest on Sachem Conversations, an oral history project produced by the Sachem Alumni Association to digitally record and archive Sachem history from the people who made it and lived it.
