If you do anything this Memorial Day Weekend – besides be thankful for the men and women who serve this great nation – turn on the NCAA Division I Women’s Lacrosse Championship and watch Sachem alum Hailey Rhatigan and Northwestern go for the title.
Rhatigan, who graduated from Sachem North in 2018, is a graduate student at Northwestern and was recently named an IWCLA All-American.
She leads the Wildcats with seven game-winning goals and is second on the team with 59 goals and is third with 70 points. Most impressive, she leads all active NCAA players with 285 career goals.
At Sachem she was a two-time team captain and team MVP.
Top-ranked Northwestern (20-1) will be playing No. 2 Boston College in the NCAA title game on Sunday, May 28 at Noon.
