You’ve heard the names for years and they just keep on winning, first at Sachem and now at their respective higher education institutions.
Sachem North alum Matt Grace, a star at New Paltz, was named to the American Volleyball Coach’s Association’s (AVCA) 2021 All-America Team for the third time. He is one of the most decorated volleyball players in New Paltz history, leading the Hawks in assists in each of his five seasons and owning the program’s career record with 4,476.
At St. Joseph’s College, Mark Williams was named Skyline Conference Player of the Year, while Clint Johnson was named Skyline Conference Rookie of the Year.
Williams led the conference in kills, kills per set and digs and was second in hitting percentage and digs per set. Johnson, who earned three Rookie of the Week honors, during the season, led the conference with 226 assists.
