It’s cool enough that Kirk Douglas makes a living playing music, has toured the world with The Roots and plays every night on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, but now he has his own custom signature guitar.
The Sachem alum partnered with Gibson to launch a triple-humbucker SG Custom model. In layman’s terms that’s a rad piece that Captain Kirk plays the hell out of and now you can too.
“What I love about the Gibson SG is I am able to get my Les Paul tones and I’m able to get the single coil pickup tones, this guitar is extremely versatile, and by utilizing the pull up feature on each volume knob you can get a lot of tones,” Douglas said in a story on GuitarWorld.com. “I find with the SG you are able to get a lot of different musical colors, all out of this one guitar.”
Douglas was an inaugural inductee of the Sachem Hall of Honor in 2017.
