Sachem alum Rich Cimini has been named as a finalist for New York Sportswriter of the Year by the National Sports Media Association.
Cimini, the Jets beat writer for ESPN, is an inductee of the Sachem Athletic Hall of Fame and Suffolk Sports Hall of Fame. He studied journalism at Syracuse.
Winners will be announced during the second week of January, and honored during the 61st NSMA Awards weekend, June 26-28, 2021, in Winston-Salem, N.C.
