Turns attention to NYSPHSAA championships next month
For the second straight season, the Sachem North cheer squad won a Suffolk County championship.
Edging out Connetquot by just 3.85 points, Sachem lived up to the high expectations set last season by the Flaming Arrows competing this year as defending champions.
“We are very happy that we were able to win another Suffolk County championship for Sachem North,” said Sachem coach Danielle Gresalfi. “These girls pushed through a lot of adversity these past few weeks, so ending with winning the Suffolk County title was great for us all.”
Gresalfi said their goal each week is to always be better than the week before.
“We are very proud as coaches to be part of a program that has such great tradition and such a huge support group of families, friends and fans,” she added.
Sachem North will now turn its attention to the NYSPHSAA cheer championships in Rochester on March 2.
