Mets legend gives talk with college baseball team, refers to alum and admires his glove
Nick Tedesco, a former two-year varsity starter on the Sachem East baseball team, is in his junior season at NYIT. Already fortunate that his head coach, Frank Catalanotto, is a former big leaguer, he got some extra high-level advice and teachings this week when Mets legend David Wright stopped by practice.
Wright, in the middle of a talk about work ethic, referred to Tedesco because his glove caught the legend’s eye. He then tried on the glove and it made for a nice moment between the Sachem alum and future Mets Hall of Famer.

“When the cameras aren’t on you. When nobody’s watching you. How good do you want to be? How great do you want to be?”
David Wright surprised the @NYITBears baseball and softball teams this morning at practice.
