All-American shines in final minutes against Northwestern to propel Wolverines to Big Ten field hockey regular-season championship.
The best players always shine when it counts most and Katie Trombetta has built a reputation of being the best of the best since leading Sachem East field hockey to states.
On Saturday, Trombetta scored Michigan’s only goal with less than 10 minutes left in the game to lead the Wolverines to an outright Big Ten regular-season championship.
Known as one of the top defenders in the conference, Trombetta has started in all 16 games and played more minutes this season than anyone on the team.
Michigan still has two regular-season games left before the Big Ten tournament begins on Sunday, October 29.
