Sachem alum Dalton Crossan picked up in the NFL right where he left off from college, executing on all areas of the game.
Crossan has continued to catch the eye of Colts general manager, Chris Ballard, during the team’s off-season workouts. Ballard previously mentioned Crossan as one of the team’s top three undrafted free agents to watch.
In a podcast this week discussing multiple position battles and breaking down off-season workouts, Ballard said Crossan has been doing very well.
“[Marlon] Mack showed speed — didn’t get to go through minicamp because of a hamstring, but he showed speed and vision, so he’s going to be an exciting player to watch,” Ballard said on the 247 Sports podcast, “and we’ve got a young kid, Crossan, who kind of does everything right every day.”
Crossan is competing with a handful of players at the running back position, but is versatile enough to be used from multiple areas of the depth chart. We’ll learn more about Crossan’s role on the team as the off-season progresses into training camp.
