Sachem alum Danielle Barhold is retiring from her cheerleading position with the Dallas Cowboys.
Barhold, who previously cheered for the Jets, spent five seasons in Dallas, in one of the most coveted cheer positions in the world.
She announced the retirement on the Cowboys’ website and cheer social pages.
“It’s truly been an honor to cheer for America’s team these past 5 years! I often have to pinch myself when I look back and realize how far I’ve come,” she said. “I am forever grateful for the life lessons, theĀ unforgettable memories, lifelong friendships, and experiences of a lifetime that I’ve had here with the Dallas Cowboys Organization. Like Dr. Suess once said, “Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.”
