Waverly Avenue Elementary School is home to four autism classes and they went blue for Autism Awareness throughout April.
Between blue hair extensions sold to students, staff and families, along with “Light It Up Blue” t-shirts, the school raised about $1,600 for a sensory room and 8:1:3 classroom supplies.
All money raised goes right back to the special needs of the school’s students with autism in the 8:1:3 program.
