The Samoset Middle School art department recently hosted “Story Faces” for sixth grade students.
Artist Chris Agostino, owner of Agostino Art, brought to life cultural traditions though the process of storytelling.
Along with the telling of these stories, Chris illustrated scenes from the stories on the student faces by painting the students during each performance.
Stories ranged from Native American tales to legends of Ancient Japan to Greek myths.
Chris brought an almost forgotten tradition back to life with his program, that the students truly look forward to seeing each year.
