It was only a matter of time before Katie Trombetta would be an All-American in college.
She achieved the honor as a star at Sachem East and now, as a junior at Michigan, was named as a National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division I All-America Third Team selection.
Trombetta has been versatile, playing on both sides of the ball. She anchored a defensive unit that allowed just 1.35 goals against.
A two-time All-Big Ten and Big Ten All-Tournament Team selection, she has also twice been named to the NFHCA All-West Region teams.
