As if playing in the NHL wasn’t honorable enough, Keith Kinkaid is now representing our country as the netminder for Team USA in the IHF World Hockey Championships.
Kinkaid, who plays for the New Jersey Devils in the NHL, made three clutch saves against the Czech Republic in a 2-1 shootout victory on Thursday.
The United States advance to the semifinals on Saturday against either Canada or Sweden.
After losing four times in the round robin state, the United States were actually underdogs against the Czechs, but are looking up towards an important match in the semis now.
