Jessica Guginsky, a seventh grader at Sagamore Middle School, competed at the IEA National Finals in Lexington as a member of the Knox School’s equestrian team. She placed third and is one of the top middle school riders in the nation.
According to Knox School, her division is comprised of hundreds of middle school riders from around the country.
Guginsky placed first at Regionals held in New Jersey and placed first at Zone finals held in Pennsylvania. Zones takes the top four riders from New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, as does each region throughout the country, to compete at Nationals in Lexington, Kentucky.
