Four Sachem alumni were inducted to the Suffolk County Sports Hall of Fame on Friday evening at the Hyatt Regency in Hauppauge, N.Y.
Rich Cimini, an NFL writer for ESPN, Laura Gentile, the Senior Vice President of ESPNW, Maria Michta, an Olympic racewalker and Isaac Ramaswamy, a Sachem wrestling coach and teacher, were all honored.
Michta was unable to attend because she is competing in Rome this weekend. Her coach Pete McNeill, also a Sachem alum, accepted the honor on her behalf.
Sachem has more inductees than any other school district in the county. There have been 12 people inducted in the last four years to hail from the district.
