Sachem recently hosted its 58th annual Elementary Music Festival at Sachem High School East. There were more than 260 students from all 12 elementary schools who performed in the band, orchestra and chorus.
The performances were conducted by Sachem music teachers Jenny Terzopoulos (chorus), Michael Carroll (band) and Meghan Krug (orchestra).
The best music students in each building were selected to perform during this special event. Students rehearsed for three evenings, for about three hours each evening.
The performances were outstanding and students had a valuable, enjoyable experience that they will take with them to their buildings.
