The Sachem East girls basketball team beat Northport, 55-34, in the first round of the Suffolk County Class AA playoffs.
No. 8 Sachem (11-8) was led by Danielle Cosgrove, who scored 18 points and recorded 20 rebounds.
The Arrows will play either No. 16 West Babylon or No. 1 Ward Melville next Wednesday.
