The Sachem boys bowling team has captured a Suffolk County championship for the first time since 2002. This is the first year since 2004-2005 that Sachem had a unified program with student-athletes from both Sachem East and Sachem North.
Nick Caruana, who bowled a 290 in Game 6 and 258 in Game 5 in a 1,556 series, led Sachem.
The Flaming Arrows combined for a total of 6,918 at Sayville Lanes. They beat Commack by just 33 pin.
This is the eighth county title in school history.
