The Jets and Giants don’t play one another very often, so when they do it’s a special occurrence. This often brings out stories about players who have ties to both franchises.
There may not be a more prolific player to split his career between both teams than Sachem alum John “Jumbo” Elliott.
NJ.com wrote a feature about his career with both New York clubs.
“I’m going to try to play it neutral,” he said in the article. “But I think at heart, I’d have to say ‘Go Big Blue.’ That’s where I got my ring, I was running around with guys likePepper Johnson, Lawrence Taylor, Mark Bavaro … I could go on and on; that team was so phenomenal.”
