Sachem East and Sachem North combined to donate more than 2,200 boxes of food to various food banks and missions this Thanksgiving.
Both schools held presentations on Monday to unveil their boxes and overall numbers. Sachem North set a school record gathering 1,872 boxes.
A large part of Sachem North’s success was led by a student group known as the Dirty Dozen, which is roughly 20 students who dedicate countless hours of volunteerism to make this happen.
