The journey continues for Alec Sole. He was promoted from the Single A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays to the Triple A club this week.
Sole, a Sachem North alum who helped lead the school to a Suffolk County championship in 2011, has had an exceptional season with the Bowling Green Hot Rods.

He is hitting .308 with 13 doubles, 4 triples, 1 home run, 29 RBI and 5 stolen bases this season. He has also played multiple positions in the field showing his versatility. A natural shortstop, he has found time at first, second, third, short and on the mound this year.
Sole, an 18th round draft pick by the Rays in 2014, is the first Sachem alum since Mike Parisi (Dodgers, Cubs, Cardinals) to play at the Triple A level of professional baseball. Parisi is also the last alum to play in the big leagues after he spent 12 games with the Cardinals in 2008.
