The Sachem Report: How did you decide on Delaware?
Samantha Russo: “I visited many different schools over the year but when it came to Delaware, I knew right when I got on that campus that it was the place for me. It’s is a big school, provides a good education, and has a great lacrosse program. I also spoke to the coaches many times before and they were so nice and I really enjoyed their coaching styles.”
TSR: Where else were you considering?
Russo: “UCONN, Campbell University, LIU Post, Towson”
TSR: What are you looking to achieve throughout the rest of your Sachem career?
Russo: “For my upcoming junior year I have been honored to be voted captain of the lacrosse team, I hope to help the team go to a county championship in the next few years and continue to just progress as a team and get further and further into playoffs each year.
TSR: What does it mean for you to be a student-athlete at Sachem?
Russo: “I am beyond proud to say that I am a student-athlete at Sachem considering the many legends that have walked the same halls I do. I hope that one day our team will be remembered as making history.”
