Sachem North’s Madison Hoffer and Sachem East’s Cara Trombetta have been selected to participate in the 2015 Women’s Under Armour Underclass Games over Fourth of July weekend in Baltimore.
Hoffer is a University of North Carolina bound defender who was Sachem North’s captain and MVP this spring season and earned All-County and All-Division selections.
Trombetta is a University of Florida bound defender who was Sachem East’s captain and MVP this spring season and earned All-American, All-County and All-Division selections.
This is Trombetta’s second year being selected to the UA Underclass games. Last year, Team Long Island lost in the national championship game in overtime to Baltimore. Trombetta was named to the UA All-Tournament team for her defensive play.
Hoffer and Trombetta are not strangers as they both were selected to represent Long Island in the prestigious U.S. Lacrosse National Invitational Tournament, winning back-to-back national championships for Team Long Island Metro in 2014 and 2015.
