Representing East at the State Meet will be Alex DeCicco (800 Meters and 1500 Meters), Kerstyn Ciulla (Pole Vault), and Shelby Trentini (400 Hurdles). Each athlete achieved strict State Qualifying standards either earlier in the season or at the State Qualifying Meet in order to guarantee their spot in what is considered to be the most competitive State Meet in the USA. The racewalk, which is not contested in the State Meet, will be contested next for the top East walkers at the New Balance National Championship meet in Greensboro, NC.
The New York State Championship Meet will be held this Friday and Saturday at the State University at Albany.
