Multiple Sachem students and alumni will be featured in the production of “AIDA”, a musical written by Elton and Tim Rice.
This is being produced by Productions Over the Rainbow Inc., a theater company founded by Robert De Persio, Jr. and his wife Dana, both Sachem alumni.
POTR’s exquisite production of the musical phenomenon will be performed entirely by students, including Sachem North Freshman Kristopher Kilkenny, and Kyle J. Kilkenny, a Sachem North graduating senior.
Also, another Sachem alumnus, Craig Boccia, is joining former Sachem classmate Bob De Persio as the show’s choreographer.
The rest of the production team features some of Long Island’s biggest names in community theater. It is going to be a fantastic production, as well as a big reunion of Sachem students, past and present.
The show dates are June 5-6 at 7:00 p.m., and it is being performed at Gelinas Junior High School in Setauket.
This production will feature both powerhouse vocals and stellar acting to bring the audience a timeless and heart-wrenching love story set in Ancient Egypt.
