Jocelyn Fisher, a 13 year old student at Sequoya Middle School, and a member of Sachem Swim Club, traveled to Orlando last month for the NCSA Junior Nationals.
This is an incredible accomplishment, as swimmers that compete in this meet are generally of high school age.
Of the 300,000 swimmers registered with USA Swimming, only 1,700 athletes qualify to compete at the NCSA Junior Nationals, which is significantly less than 1 percent of all swimmers in the U.S.
Fisher also has the honor of being the first swimmer in the history of Sachem Swim Club to qualify for a meet at this level.
