Sachem North senior Brian Biase has committed to play lacrosse at Division III Moravian, a program set to begin play in the spring of 2016.

“Brian is a great kid and teammate,” said Sachem North lacrosse coach Jay Mauro. “Brian has worked hard to improve his game over the last year. He will continue to work and improve. We are happy for Brian.”

Sachem Report recently caught up with Biase on his college selection.

Why did you choose Moravian?

I chose Moravian because of their education program, the campus, and the coaching staff. The other schools that I was considering were Albertus Magnus college, Anna Maria College and Kean University.

What are your career goals?

I hope to become a high school history teacher.

What goals have you set for yourself this season?

The goals I have set for the rest of the year are to maintain all my grades at a high level and to begin to train myself to play at the next level. I would also like to continue to have fun during my last year at Sachem.

What does it mean to you to be a student-athlete in Sachem?

It means everything. It’s a huge part of my life because both my parents are Sachem alumni, and being part of Sachem gives me a sense of pride and integrity.
