Sachem’s only stroke of luck against Lindenhurst was on its first play of the game, a 77-yard touchdown run by Kevin Bragaglia. After that it was all Lindenhursty.
The Flaming Arrows lost their final regular season game, 29-13.
Bragaglia finished with 15 carries, 102 yards and one touchdown.
Jasheem Banks scored Sachem’s other touchdown on a 2-yard carry in the fourth quarter.
Sachem is 3-5 this year and is having its worst season since 2005 when it recorded two wins.
The Flaming Arrows are expected to make the playoffs as an eighth seed, but nothing is official until Suffolk County releases the brackets later this weekend.
With the 100-plus yard game, Bragaglia passed 1,000 rushing yards for the season (1,023) and 2,000 rushing yards for his career (2,041). He is only the 16th player in program history to break 1,000 rushing yards in a single-season, and now ranks No. 8 all-time in career rushing yards.
Sachem has allowed 242 points this season, the third most in program history (268, 2012).
