The Sachem East boys cross country and track programs are proud to announce their very first High School All American athlete. This past June, Trevor Guerrera earned that status with his sixth place finish in the New Balance National Track & Field Championships in North Carolina. This accomplishment finishes an outstanding career at Sachem.
Guerrera finished his career as a two-time First Team All-State, six-time First Team All-County, six-time All-Division and a six-time All-League selection. He is also the Long Island Champion in the 600 Meter Dash and the 400 Meter Intermediate Hurdles.
He was chosen as the Section XI Sportsmanship representative for Winter Track State Meet, as well as the League Two Runner of the Year in Cross Country and a “Suffolk County Outstanding Track & Field Performer” for 2014.
He was the recipient of the Suffolk County Track & Field Officials Scholarship for outstanding performance, sportsmanship and academic excellence for 2014.
Guerrera closed out his career with seven school records, a League II Team Championship, and the fastest time ever by a Section XI athlete in the 600 meters at the State Qualifying Meet and All American status.
Guerrera will run in college at Sacred Heart University.
