New Hampshire sophomore running back and Sachem alum Dalton Crossan has been named to the College Football Performance Awards (CFPA) Kickoff Returner Award Watch List.
Crossan is one of 40 players on this list. The winner will be announced Jan. 14, 2015.
As a redshirt freshman last year, Crossan led the Wildcats in kickoff returns (18), kickoff return yardage (427) and kickoff return average (23.7 yards/return), and he also averaged a team-high 12.0 yards per carry.
From UNH Athletics:
- Crossan ran a career-long kick return of 93 yards resulting in a touchdown at the University at Albany (Nov. 16).
- He recorded a personal-best 185 all-purpose yards that game with a 51-yard TD run and 134 kickoff return yards.
- The rookie compiled 131 all-purpose yards in the NCAA first round playoff game vs. Lafayette in which he recorded highs in both rushing (84) and receiving (30) yards.
- Crossan finished the 2013 season with 930 all-purpose yards to rank fourth on the team in that statistic. He had 32 rushes for 385 yards (and four TDs) and 12 catches for 118 yards (and one TD) in addition to the aforementioned 427 kickoff return yards.
