Sachem’s Aftershock 263 Robotics team won the Suffield Shakedown in Connecticut last week.
Leaving with a 6-0 record, the team performed with excellence, according to Dan Christiansen, the club’s publicity director.
Sachem took home a first place trophy and “Farthest Traveled” Award.
Putting it like club advisor Robert Wentzel would, in an email Christiansen wrote, “We smashed the competition with two hammers tied behind our backs.”
With this win under its belt, the team is very excited to come into the competition season with a fury.
They will compete in the annual local regional tournament at Hofstra University in late March.
