Fifth grade students at Tamarac Elementary School adopted two families in need this holiday season.
The students brought in hundreds of brand new items. They shopped for the items off the families needs list which included coats, hats, gloves, and other clothing items.
They also shopped off the children’s wish list which included all types of toys and games.
Many of the Tamarac students earned their own money to use to shop for the families.
“They truly went above and beyond,” said Jeanine Debenedictis, of Tamarac’s PTA. “They should all feel very proud of themselves. This act of kindness truly is an example of holiday giving.”
