Spectrum of Dreams delivers at Sachem

IMG_0722[1]Tim Szlosek, founder of The Spectrum of Dreams Foundation, delivered three brand new iPads to Sachem North. Dana Glasser and Sheri Rose had the privilege of collaborating to find worthy recipients of these valuable devices.

The iPads were deservedly gifted to three lucky students from Tecumseh, Nokomis and Sachem East. Each of these students, despite their disabilities, have overcome hardships and challenges and have demonstrated perseverance.

When the iPads were delivered, it was a complete surprise to the girls. It was a sincere honor for both teachers to have had the opportunity to be a part of the goodness that was bestowed upon them. However, to be witnesses of genuine shock, excitement and appreciation from these girls was a gift better than any that they will receive this holiday season they said. The girls have all been using their iPads to reinforce the academic skills that are being taught in their classrooms.

Szlosek’s nonprofit, public organization’s mission is “to have a direct and positive impact on children and families affected by autism” and other disabilities. These fortunate students and families can all vouch that The Spectrum of Dreams Foundation’s mission was accomplished.
