Rachel Paul was featured on the first installent of NY Mile Split’s “Throwback Thursday” column, where the site picks some notable former high school runners and profiles them on the next level.
Paul, of the top runners to come out of Sachem, is currently competing at Georgetown. She graduated from Sachem East.
“My biggest training change from HS to College was probably the increased mileage and intensity in practices, especially in workouts,” Paul told NY Mile Split. “I had to wrap my mind around focusing for repeat two-miles or long threshold workouts whereas in high school, most of my workouts consisted of nothing over 800m for any interval.”
