Students at Waverly Avenue Elementary were treated to a visit from three players on the New York Islanders on Monday afternoon as part of the organization’s School Day program.
The players spoke to students about the importance of education, staying active, eating healthy and making smart decisions in life.
Various players visited schools all across Long Island. Waverly had goalie Kevin Poulin, and forwards Brock Nelson and Pierre-Marc Bouchard.
Following the presentation, students asked the players questions and also got autographs.
