UPDATE: A day after the original story about Crossan was published, he was named Colonial Athletic Association Rookie of the Week for the second time this season.
ORIGINAL: Dalton Crossan isn’t shy when talking about his abilities. We all know what he’s capable of. It’s just a matter of time before he explodes on the college level.
He’s shown sparks every time he touches the ball at New Hampshire as a redshirt freshman. Those sparks were in full blaze Saturday as Crossan compiled a career-high 185 yards and two touchdowns in a 37-20 win over Albany.
The Sachem alum returned one kickoff 93 yards for a touchdown and rushed for a second score when he broke several tackles and used his patented moves on a 51-yard carry.
Crossan is now averaging 14.2 yards per carry (19 carries, 269 yards), 9.1 yards per catch (9 receptions, 82 yards) and leads the team with 13 kick returns for 332 yards and a 25.5 yards per return average.
He is third on the team with 683 all purpose yards this season.
