Playoffs have been in full swing all November so far and this weekend, once again, is packed with action for multiple sports.
If you’re interested in traveling to see Sachem athletes compete, here’s a look at what to expect:
Sachem East field hockey: Competing the New York State playoffs, Sachem East must get past this regional final at White Plains High against an opponent from Section I in order to make the state final four. Their game starts at 3 p.m. We’ll have updates later on for this contest.
Sachem East boys volleyball: Competing in the Long Island championship, Sachem East will take on Nassau’s Port Washington at Hofstra University. The match starts at 4 p.m.
Sachem cross country: Athletes competing in the NYSPHSAA Championship at Queensbury HS (Sec II) in the afternoon. This is near Glens Falls, N.Y., roughly four hours away, so you might want to check Sachem Report for updates this weekend on this one.
Scout some football: And on a peripheral note, there are some other Suffolk County Division I football games today that would affect who Sachem North plays next week in the Division I semifinals.
